Logitech
left the scanning business in 1995, but they sell two families of
TWAIN products: QuickCam webcams and ClickSmart digital still cameras.
TWAIN is a priority for Logitech only to provide compatibility with
consumer applications - developer support is nonexistent. Nonetheless,
their ClickSmart and QuickCam drivers are among the few such products
that provide any support for automated operation through TWAIN.
Contact Dosadi for advice before committing to a project involving
these products. |

There
are no known problems with Dosadi products, but see the TWAIN notes
below. |
| features: |
QuickCam
reports resolution of 100 dpi, regardless of video mode, and a physical
size of 8.5" x 11". When the device UI is hidden, only
one frame will be captured each time the device is enabled. Several
seconds are required to open a QuickCam, and at least one second
to capture a frame. Brightness, Contrast, Exposure: Essentially
no settings can be controlled through TWAIN, but we have a report
that ICAP_AUTOBRIGHT works.
ClickSmart cameras offer no support for TWAIN camera features
but if enabled in No-UI mode, will transfer all stored
images.
