In
our experience, multifunction devices have unusually poor TWAIN drivers
- bad ADF support especially - and we aren't fond of HP TWAIN drivers
either. The V40SE seems to be an exception - A multifunction device
with a 20 page ADF that works with TWAIN. Customers have reported
scanning multipage documents directly into Acrobat. It has Win2K and
WinXP drivers. In the Amazon
reviews some customers give it 5 stars
("I love this device") while others give it 1 ("MY
WORST PRINTER, EVER!!")
Discontinued by HP (sigh) but readily available as used/refurb/liquidator
units.
