EZTwain Pro is a function library that makes it easy for application developers to add document or image scanning to an application or software product:

• Use it from almost any programming language: see list.
• Get a fast start by letting our Code Wizard write code for you.
• Acquire images from any TWAIN-compatible scanner, with or without a scan dialog.
• Acquire a single page or multiple pages, from flatbed or document feeder, one-sided or duplex.
• Save to TIFF, PDF, GIF, JPG, PNG, and BMP files - including multipage TIFF and PDF.
• Deploy to any Win32 platform. (WinCE not supported. No 64-bit version available. Not recommended under Citrix.)
• Detect blank pages and discard them, or use them to separate documents.
• Crop, rotate, deskew, resize, resample, convert, invert, flip and otherwise transform images.
• Recognize Code 3-of-9 barcodes, and work with 3rd party barcode engines to recognize other symbologies.
• Use the Transym TOCR engine (separate license required) to recognize text, and to write searchable PDFs.
• Upload images to a web server via HTTP-POST. SSL/HTTPS is supported, NTLM authentication is not supported.
• Write PDF/A and encrypted PDF.
