Acquire - Multi-User and Redistribution License (MUL)
Summary: This license allows Acquire to be used as a component in a larger system, eliminating the need to separately install, license or manually unlock Acquire on each computer.
Cost: 180$US. This is a one-time fee. There are no other fees or charges.
How To Buy : Use this on-line order page. Note: Your order will be handled by Plimus, a well-established, highly secure software registration service. Once your order is approved and Plimus receives payment, your license key and instructions will be e-mailed within 48 hours.
Restriction: There is only one important restriction: The license is for (a) redistribution of Acquire with one product or software package, or (b) unlimited internal use of Acquire inside one company or organization.
Example: Suppose your product or software system is called 'Paper Pusher'. On the license order form, there is a field for 'Customized Name for Acquire'. You could choose Paper Pusher or Paper Pusher Scan for example. You will receive a numeric key by e-mail, that matches that name. You pass the name and key to Acquire, like this:
acquire /app="Paper Pusher" /key=1823615265 /gpf
When Acquire displays any dialogs, errors messages, or progress boxes, it uses the specified name instead of 'Acquire', as you can see in the error box at right.
If you create a substantially different product called for example 'DentalView', you will probably want a separate Acquire license under the name DentalView or DentalView Capture, etc.
In-House Use: If you wish to use Acquire on multiple
computers within an organization, purchase
this license and in the 'Customized Name for Acquire' enter a name that relates to your company name. For example,
if your company is Erratic Software Inc., order the Acquire
license with a customized name such as "Erratic Software Acquire"
or "Erratic Scan".
